Who We are:Capital Cardiology is a cardiovascular centre in Ottawa, ON, offering Cardiology consultation and a wide range of cardiac testing ( echocardiogram, Holter monitoring, exercise stress test, ambulatory blood pressure monitor, ECG, and now commencing nuclear perfusion studies).Key Responsibilities:Radio pharmaceutical preparation and quality management.Performs Cardiac Nuclear Medicine procedures to produce imaging, and high quality diagnosticFollow radiation safety procedures and adhere to a strict code of aseptic techniques.Assists, instructs, obtain consent and educates patients prior to, during, and after procedure.Prepare, calculate and administer radiopharmaceuticals while maintaining accurate dispensing logsAcquire, process and archive Nuclear Medicine SPECT imaging studies (Rest and Stress)Observe and report all malfunctions in nuclear medicine equipmentInform designated physician of cases with critical abnormal finding.Perform daily, weekly & monthly quality control procedures on equipment in the Nuclear Medicine departmentRequirements:Hold a college diploma in nuclear medicine technology ;Be an active member of the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)Be an active member of the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) ;Hold a valid cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certificateExperience as a registered technologist and with PACs system is preferredBe a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada.Benefits:Retention BonusExtended Health and Dental BenefitsDisability and life InsuranceVacation payFree onsite parkingCME leaveJob Types: Full-time, PermanentBenefits:Dental careDisability insuranceExtended health careLife insuranceOn-site parkingPaid time offSchedule:8 hour shiftWork remotely:No
