As expert you will bring a deep technical mastery of the process and equipment. That expertise allows you to lead the planning, process development and implementation of Planned Maintenance Elements in a Continuous Improvement manufacturing environment. You will manage this through teams consisting of various technical and non-technical personnel, key support contractors and operations personnel.
Partner & Enable the line leader(s) to deliver the SQCDSM targets-Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Sustainability & Morale for the lines, to ensure Process stability; Participates in the DMS- Daily Management systems meetings at the shift and line level
Own the technology and process and centerline settings for the equipment and process and have deep technical mastery of the process and equipment; Owns the PM-Progressive maintenance systems and work processes and the PM-Progressive Maintenance Key Performance Indicators for the line/s along with Centerline Management systems; Build (spends at least 50% of time) technical and maintenance skills of the technicians working in the shifts, so that they are able to operate and maintain their equipment themselves; Partner with the Asset and Reliability team for system improvement and execution of special maintenance tasks; be responsible for Change Management on the line/s, localization of spares and proper break-down analysis and R&M cost reduction for the line/s; Represents the department/line/s as the site technology owner in the regional and global technology forums.
Help the line leader in internal and external benchmarking and reapplication; be the subject matter expert on one of the component categories and be a trainer of PM related subjects for the plant
Responsible for diagnosis and resolution of all electrical, Instrumentation and automation issues in a timely manner.
Responsible for PLC & HMI program modification and VFD and servo drive configuration as the need arises.
Responsible for the completion of all electrical, Instrumentation and automation preventive maintenance work orders assigned.
Responsible for periodic PLC, HMI program backup.
Responsible for compliance to health, safety, and environmental standards, safe operating procedures, Food safety practice, good housekeeping practices and the observance of protective equipment requirements.
Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems on electrical, instrumentation and automation equipment used in batch and continuous process machines as well as high speed packaging machines.
Ability to read and interpret Electrical circuit drawings/Blue prints and P&ID Ability to troubleshoot and configure VFD, Servo drives, sensors, smart actuators and process instrumentations.
Ability to troubleshoot and make PLC and HMI modifications using Rockwell Automation software (Rslinx, RsLogix 500, Rslogix 5000 studio 5000 Logix designer, FactoryTalkView , Rsview, RsNetworx).
Strong knowledge of industrial automation networks.
Strong computer skills and proficiency in the use of Microsoft office and SAP Strong knowledge of Electrical safety codes (CSA, ESA, OSHA) as well as health, safety and environmental standards and regulations.
1-2 years work experience preferably in a food & beverage manufacturing company.
Grade 12 Education/ Diploma in Electrical or related field.
Mandatory license require to process provincial Electricians Ticket (442A or 309A).
Ability to work flexible hours including a rotating 3 or 4 shift schedules
