The day-to-day tasks of an Outside Sales Representative

  • Develop account strategies that meet the business center's sales objectives;

  • Develop profitable incremental sales for new and existing accounts;

  • Coordinate sales and customer service efforts with inside sales and purchasing;

  • Support inside sales and quoting specialists to drive excellent customer service, operational efficiency and account profitability;

  • Ensure in-depth and up-to-date knowledge of customers, as well as competitors' strengths and weaknesses;

  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with customers and supplier representatives;

  • Develop solutions to customer problems;

  • Provide accurate market information to the Business Center Manager and other members of the sales team;

  • Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of various product lines.

Outside Sales Representative profile

  • Minimum of five (5) years industry experience preferred and at least two (2) years sales experience or a combination of relevant professional training and experience;

  • Demonstrated sales ability;

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills;

  • Excellent oral and written French;

  • Product knowledge;

  • Must be customer service and results oriented;

  • Computer experience an asset.
