  • Proficient in French listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
  • Familiar with French teaching at local elementary and secondary schools (including Core French, Intensive French, French Immersion, and Francophone Program)
  • French test of TEF/TCF. Please bring the original to the interview. We only provide a copy of the original for reference.
  • Familiar with the North American education system.
  • A DELF examiner's experience is an asset.
  • AP-level knowledge in French is preferred.
Qualification

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or above in a relevant field (Education, French, etc.) with relevant education experience.
  • Strong command of French concepts across Kindergarten to Grade 12 levels.
  • Familiarity with the curriculum and assessment requirements of AP, TEF/TCF, and DELF programs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students of diverse backgrounds.
  • Passion for education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning experience.
  • Ability to adapt tutoring strategies to meet individual learning styles and needs.
  • Previous tutoring, teaching, or mentoring experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in using technology to enhance instruction and communication.
  • Ease of Commute: Ability to commute to our institution on a daily basis.
  • Experience: Ideally, 2-3 years of teaching experience.
  • Teaching Certification: Possession of a Teaching Certificate of Qualification in British Columbia is preferred.
  • Fluent in English
