Our client is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Finance to join its team in Fredericton, NB. You will play a crucial role in developing and implementing financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and to minimize risks. Additionally, you will lead the annual budgeting process, providing financial analysis and recommendations to both the Executive Director and the Board of Directors.
Your responsibilities will also involve closely monitoring cash flow and financial performance against budgetary goals, allowing you to identify areas for improvement. Managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts will also be part of your duties, ensuring that the organization receives cost-effective solutions while maintaining high standards of quality and service.
As the ideal candidate, you hold a bachelor’s degree in finance and preferably a CPA designation. You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably within the nonprofit or arts sector, and a strong understanding of accounting principles, budgeting techniques, and financial analysis.
