This position will rotate shifts days/evenings 6a-2:30p; 2:30p-11p

Position Summary

This role will be responsible for coordinating the activities of the Distribution department to ensure maximum effectiveness in resource utilization, logistical efficiency, product quality, operating costs, production schedule attainment and customer service. This position is committed to achieving the quality, health and safety, and environmental objectives of the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • OHSA - Ensure compliance of Occupational Health & Safety Act (section 25, 26, 27, and 28) per Hiram Walker & Son’s Ltd Policy- Management-Supervision-Worker Safety Responsibilities
  • ISO Compliance/Daily Operations/Health & Safety/Manpower Alignment.
  • Customer Service – ensure orders are entered accurately and shipped according to customer requests
  • Responsible to ensure orders are picked up on time, in full, and with errors - CPH Administrative work (includes barrel tag label printing, inter-office document control)
  • Case goods inventory control (inventory cycle counting/verifications)
  • Distribution Centre: gain operational understanding to provide support where necessary
  • Third party relationships – sustain positive relationship with third party customers and suppliers, and carriers
  • Internal, regular, work related contact with:

- Planning and Logistics Department

- Quality Department

- Risk Assessment Officer

- Bottling Supervisor

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Computer/technology savvy (Office suite, ERP systems)
  • Problem Solving, root cause analysis
  • Strong Communication skills
  • Health and safety compliance
  • Accident/Incident investigation
  • Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
  • First Aid and CPR
  • Education: Undergraduate degree, Business or logistics preferred but not required

Financial Responsibility

Participates in goal setting and accountable for own, limited budget for asset administration and goals. Operates in predetermined limits.
