Waypoint Insurance is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive IT professional to join our growing IT team. In this role, the individual will manage and support a variety of IT functions from hardware lifecycle management, troubleshooting, and liaising with third-party IT providers. The individual will play a key part in ensuring smooth IT operations, offering technical support to staff at all levels, and help optimize our digital environment. Lead the management of hardware assets including procurement, disposal, lifecycle management (evergreening), replacements, shipping and receiving, inventory control, and reconciliation processes.
Evaluate and triage approval requests from the Company's third-party IT service provider, ensuring timely processing and resolution.
Administer and troubleshoot the Company's Zoom phone system to ensure seamless communication and resolve technical issues as they arise.
Maintain and update the Company's phone directory, including user setup and removal, managing permissions, phone number porting, and configuring auto-receptionist and queue systems.
Assist with the coordination of mobile network provider transitions, phone upgrades, and replacements, as well as e-fax services management.
Provide responsive support to general IT inquiries via phone, email (including shared IT mailbox), and Teams, offering effective solutions and guidance.
Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain up-to-date directory information, and assist in creating and modifying MS Forms, Power Automate workflows, and SharePoint sites.
Develop and deliver training and reference materials for Managers, ensuring clear understanding of IT processes and tools.
Host onboarding sessions for new hires, providing a comprehensive introduction to the IT department and its services.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and certifications.
Proficiency with IT systems and cloud technologies, such as Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Power Automate is an asset
A valid driver's license and personal vehicle is an asset
Familiarity with IT support ticketing systems and troubleshooting methodologies
Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, including data protection and network security
