SAIT requires instructors to teach in the Information Systems Security (ISS) Diploma program. The ISS program prepares students to enter the cybersecurity profession with confidence and solid fundamental knowledge.
The instructor is to make use of any and all available resources, methods, techniques and strategies, to ensure student success. Relevant post-secondary education (minimum two-year diploma from a recognized institute) and a minimum of five years related industry experience.
Teaching experience at a post-secondary institute in Canada is an asset.
Strong commitment to delivering high quality instruction within set deadlines
Knowledge of operating systems and network infrastructure/protocols
Designing, and using tools to create user interfaces for desktop, web, and mobile applications
Configure, connect and troubleshoot Windows and Linux virtual machines
System Exploitation, detect/defense techniques
Security policies within operating systems and networks
Database knowledge (MS SQL, MySQL, Oracle, etc.)
Automating workflows/processes using programming languages Programming:
Understanding of high-level programming language and ability to reverse engineer code.
Proficient in C, Python, and Assembly
Secure coding and SDLC practices Web application security:
Web and mobile application security experience with Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC)
Manual/automated penetration testing (Metasploit, Burp Suite, Fortify, etc.)
WAF technologies, configuration, and security frameworks Computer forensics:
Vulnerability scanning and penetration testing
Analyzing and interpreting log data and network traffic
