Job Profile

Our Aluminum Welders are responsible for the fabrication and maintenance of DFI’s custom designed cranes, piling and industrial equipment, and ERW pipe mill.

Job Duties
  • Fabricate and maintain piling and industrial equipment including DFI’s ERW pipe mill
  • Read and interpret drawings
  • Operate shop equipment such as; bandsaws, overhead cranes, forklifts, hydraulic presses, oxyfuel and plasma cutting tools, and drill presses
  • Work closely with the mechanical engineering, machining, and fleet service divisions
  • Operate safely, in compliance with the DFI HSE program
Qualifications
  • Journeyman Welder/Apprentice Certification / Aluminum Tig and Wire feed experience
  • Experience in structural steel / aluminum fabrication including metal core, flux core, and mig welding
  • Experience with high tensile steel is an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Flexible work schedule to accommodate production needs
