Position Overview
As an experienced Guest Service Associate, you understand the importance of an efficient and welcoming check-in experience for our guests and are committed to going above and beyond to make their stay memorable. With your engaging smile, warm personality and customer service focus, you will be empowered to curate incredible experiences.
Our Guest Service Associates have significant exposure to Evergreen’s regional management, with the opportunity to take on as much responsibility as they can demonstrate capability for. Over time, there may be opportunities to transfer to other Evergreen properties, depending on aptitude / interest.
Responsibilities
- Check guests in and out of the hotel with warm and engaging service
- Acknowledge guests waiting in line
- Confirm rate and type of room while checking guest into the hotel
- Upon departure, offer a friendly greeting and asks if stay was satisfactory
- Take responsibility for any guest inquiries and problems
- Be fully versed and competent in all aspects of Front Office operations and provide the highest levels of professional and prompt Guest Service
- Assist in the coordination and blocking of rooms for incoming group and tour arrivals
- Other duties as assigned

Skills and qualifications
- A minimum of one year experience in a hospitality setting requiring a high level of customer service. Past experience in a front desk / other hotel setting is preferred
- Proven ability to work well independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent service and exceed expectations
- Ability to effectively solve problems and make decisions in real-time
- Proficient in English language, both verbal & written, with a second language being an asset
- Ability to handle a multitude of tasks in a busy, dynamic environment while remaining calm and collective
- Available to work flexible hours
- Impeccable grooming and presentation
- A degree or diploma in hospitality is an asset
Note: The position of Guest Service Associate is physically demanding. The successful applicant must be physically capable of performing repetitive work, as well as lifting and carrying heavy loads. Must be able to stand for long periods of time (for up to 8 hours).
