Job Opportunity: Avionics Systems Engineer
Location: Canada - Montreal (HYBRID - Permanent role)

Job Description:
We are looking for a highly skilled Avionics Systems Engineer with extensive knowledge in avionics system engineering, industry standards compliance, and avionic design. As an integral part of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful integration, testing, and certification of avionic systems on aircraft, adhering to industry standards such as DO178, DO160, and ARP4754.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct design, integration, and certification of avionic systems on aircraft.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, including DO178, DO160, and ARP4754.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement avionics system designs.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on avionics system engineering and integrated modular avionics (IMA) systems.
- Utilize software tools such as Catia V5, Matlab, and Autocad for design and analysis.
- Manage avionics system design projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to specifications.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and technological advancements in avionics systems engineering.
Requirements:
Non-negotiable:
1. In-depth knowledge of avionics system engineering (not avionic technician/avionics maintenance).
2. Familiarity with industry standards, particularly DO178, DO160, and ARP4754.
3. Experience in electric or avionic design.
General:
- Proficiency in English; French language skills are a plus.
- Diploma Bac or equivalent.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in avionics systems engineering.
- Strong technical skills in design integration, test certification, and project management.
- Specific knowledge of avionic systems engineering, integrated modular avionics (IMA) systems, and avionics system design.
- Engineering background in electrical, electronics, aerospace, or software.
- Membership in a professional engineering order is not required.
- Will primarily focus on design tasks rather than drawing or project management.
- Proficiency in software tools such as Catia V5, Matlab, and Autocad; familiarity with avionics systems software is a plus.
- Programming knowledge is advantageous.
