Observe all PPE & Safety Requirements of EDGE Marine/Bluewater Group/Halifax Port Authority
Safe/timely loading/offloading of waste materials from our barge
Organize & stage waste materials for disposal
Sort and dispose of waste materials shoreside as directed
Identify & record all hazmat & palletize by vessel
Work with Environmental Officers/Marine Engineers during offload
Be comfortable tying up alongside ships with heavy ropes/lines prior to beginning work
Organizing & manifesting all waste/product offloaded by the vessel while in port
Warehouse duties as needed Qualifications
Experience with waste management and/or marine environments an asset
Must be comfortable working in a marine environment
Ability to perform physical labour (carrying, lifting, dragging, pushing, pulling)
Must have a valid driver's license
Ability to work independently and maintain accurate record keeping of work performed
Ability to operate a forklift an asset
Must be able to pass a Criminal Record Check
