Summary:

Under the direction ofTeam Leader, the Yard Technician will accept, stage and verify material for warehouse management system movements. This is a safety-sensitive position that requires completion of pre-employment/pre-access testing.

Key Focuses:

  • Pre-trip inspections on vehicles and equipment
  • Pick up material from all warehouses
  • Delivering material to site locations
  • Operate forklift, zoom boom, and 1-ton truck
  • Load and unload material from delivery trucks
  • Return stock items to warehouse
  • Prepare material and bring to shipping
  • Put material away in correct location
  • Locate and stage material
  • General housekeeping duties as needed in the yard

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • Grade twelve (12) Diploma or GED equivalent is required
  • Retention of a valid Class five (5) driver’s license
  • Clean five (5) year drivers abstract required
  • Minimum three (3) years experience is required
  • Valid CSO certification (or combination of CSTS and OSSA or BSO) is required
  • Loader experience is required
  • Syncrude plant turnaround experience is required
  • Ability to speak, write and read English is required
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada

This is a full time position located at the Aurora site north of Fort McMurray, AB.
Work Schedule is Monday to Friday; 8 hours per day.
