Summary:
Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the Director, Corporate Platforms will play a key role in positioning Enercare to meet its customer needs by driving platform standardization and modernization through the development and deployment of, key enterprise enabling technologies, including Billing, ERP, HR, Legal, and Integration Platforms. The Director acts as a thought-leader on how to most effectively solve digital business and operating challenges for emerging growth as well as capitalize on opportunities. This role will champion digital simplification and business process efficiency while also driving agility and efficiency through operational excellence. The Director will have exposure and influence across the organization including senior leadership, requiring executive presence and strong communication and presentation skills.
In partnership with senior leadership, the Director of Corporate Platforms will define and implement a roadmap which enables business value realization while rationalizing and simplifying the IT systems they are responsible for. They will act as the bridge between technology and business, ensuring alignment of IT initiatives with business strategies and goals. The Director will oversee the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new tools, technologies, and frameworks to enhance and streamline to business capabilities as well as IT Delivery and Operational processes. They will be accountable for managing budgets, resources, and vendor relationships, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget, while adhering to the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Corporate Platforms team with responsibility for the development and maintenance of software assets.
- Build, lead, and nurture a high-performing, cohesive team of Analysts and Developers.
- Foster a collaborative environment that emphasizes partnership with business stakeholders acting as a strong bridge between the business and IT
- Position Enercare to meet its customer needs by driving platform standardization and modernization.
- Select and/or Develop and deploy key enterprise enabling technologies, including Billing, ERP, HR, Legal, and Integration Platforms.
- Act as a thought-leader on how to most effectively solve digital business and operating challenges for emerging growth.
- Influence the organization, including senior leadership, to seek opportunities for simplification and business process efficiency.
- Define and implement a roadmap which enables business value realization while rationalizing and simplifying IT systems ensuring alignment of IT initiatives with business strategies and goals.
- Oversee the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new tools, technologies, and frameworks.
- Champion the adoption of best practices in software development and delivery.
- Manage budgets, resources, and vendor relationships.
- Adhere to the highest standards of quality and compliance.
- Partner with senior leadership to drive the strategic direction.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to team members while fostering career development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field preferred
- 10+ years of experience in Information Technology Delivery, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven ability to to lead, motivate and build teams that deliver services and solutions that consistently exceed expectations
- Demonstrated ability to manage teams/projects in a cross-functional environment and build successful relationships with senior stakeholders.
- A passionate problem-solver with expertise in systems design. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, ability to dissect complex problems and processes and drive solutions.
- Demonstrated proficiency in thinking strategically and executing tactically to iteratively develop and launch new business solutions that support the strategic vision.
- Strong bias for action, achieving the near-term imperative of getting things moving quickly.
- Ability to understand change impacts, including the implementation or revision of business processes, systems, and technology and then carefully advise functional and technical teams of risks.
- Must be adept at managing stakeholder expectations, scope, requirements, design, development, testing and deployment using a defined SDLC approach via both internal and external (Vendor) team resources.
- Advanced proficiency in written and oral communications skills, inclusive of the ability to develop rapport and credibility across the organization, promote ideas and proposals persuasively, and communicate with key stakeholders.
- Knowledge of Digital strategy, planning/budgeting, and financial management processes and frameworks.
- Experience in creating and executing a systems & project-specific analytics strategy, preferably with experience deploying across the enterprise, data to analytics to actionable insights to outcomes
- Skilled in guiding and overseeing the successful delivery of projects within their domain, ensuring teams are aligned and on track.
