Job Description
The Senior Tax Analyst will report directly to the Director of Tax to support the tax function at Canada Goose. Specifically, the role will be responsible for tax compliance and reporting, transfer pricing analysis, support audits, and assist with special projects. We are looking for a tax professional looking to grow a career in industry with the aptitude to learn and challenge themselves.
What You'll Do:
Prepare supporting working papers for quarterly and year-end IFRS consolidated income tax provisions and forecast of subsidiaries located in Asia, Europe, and North America
Prepare income tax supporting working papers, elections and other tax filings or information reporting, as well as transfer pricing studies and reports and ensure completion on a timely basis and accurately for the global group of entities.
Assist with monitoring/researching developments in IFRS and tax legislative changes and forecasting impact to legal entities and incorporated operationally.
Assist with preparation of transfer pricing analysis, documentation and quarterly transfer pricing calculations for the consolidated group and analyze the impact on the consolidated provision.
Assist in analyzing global income tax and transfer pricing impact of non-routine business or corporate development initiatives.
Assist with the preparation of transfer pricing documentation in accordance with the OECD Guidelines and local jurisdictional requirements.
Assist in responding to queries and notices from internal/external/government auditors.
Support global tax operations, tax projects or planning initiatives, as well as other tax related matters as needed.
Qualifications
Let's Talk About You:
CPA, CA, CGA, CMA with 5+ years of post-designated tax experience in a medium to large company
University degree majoring in accounting
Accounting knowledge of IFRS
Experience in the preparation and review of tax provisions and Canadian and/or other global tax returns and/or transfer pricing
Strong working knowledge of computerized accounting/tax systems, and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel with data manipulation is an asset.
Excellent administrative and organizational skills and ability to adjust and respond to multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Proven problem-solving capabilities and an excellent attention to detail.
