Advise and mentor various engineering groups on when and how to use Reliability / Design Quality Engineering principles.
Champion creation of Reliability Plan activities and drive execution to demonstrate reliability and improve risk mitigation.
Champion the implementation of FRACAS (Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System) throughout the organization.
Analyze, draw conclusions, report and present product information utilizing statistical techniques.
Verify and assess new product testing plan including function/reliability and field trial against related standards and policies.
Oversee the data analytics for our commissioning and field service reports with the goal of identifying emerging and high-risk failures and driving projects for improvement.
Mentor field service technicians to improve data collection to aid in root cause analysis.

Bachelor's Degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or other related technical discipline
~ Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) with ASQ (American Society for Quality) or equivalent
~ Professional Engineering (P.10+ years' experience within a reliability engineering and new product development
~ Experience in establishing reliability engineering principles within organizations
~ Solid experience in Accelerated Life Testing and Reliability Demonstration Testing
~ Demonstrated ability to utilize Six Sigma tools (FMEAs, Gauge R&R, Capability Analysis, Statistical Process Control), Design of Experiments
~ Demonstrated ability to utilize reliability and statistical tools (life data analysis Minitab, Reliasoft Weibull , JPM, etc.)
~ Relentless curiosity and a desire to learn and implement new solutions with proven technical expertise
~ Ability to track multiple projects simultaneously to ensure adherence to schedule and the JCI process
~ Open to occasional business travel (domestic and international)


Master's Degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or other related technical discipline
Experience with a stage-gate product development process
Lean/Six Sigma training, Green or Black Belt
Familiarity with reading/Interpreting Engineering drawings and understanding GD&T, CAD software

My name is Edgar Estrada, and I am a Professional Engineer with a strong background in Downhole tool design in the oil and gas industry where I gained exposure to using quality processes like DFMEA in the design process. I am relatively new to Silent-Aire and the Data Center Industry altogether, but my team and I are here to help bring up-front quality concepts to make successful product launches and help reduce our back-end quality issues. As a subject matter expert in reliability and quality, you will be a key team member to help us accomplish our goals.
