The role of a police officer includes providing a uniformed, community-based presence, maintaining social order, keeping the peace, enforcing laws, preventing crime, attending court, addressing matters of public safety, and responding to the needs of communities, city-wide.

Once you have completed all steps within APATS, your application will be reviewed by our administrative team. Age: You must be 18 years of age or older at the time of application.
Citizenship: You must be a Canadian citizen or legal permanent resident at the time of application.

You must possess good written and verbal skills in English. Written communication testing will be included in the selection process.
You must possess a valid Alberta Class 5 driver's license. A graduated driver's license is not acceptable.
