We treat the person, not the illness, and provide the resources and encouragement needed for clients to take their recovery into their own hands.Role DescriptionThe Healing Recovery Centre is seeking a dedicated clinical therapist with experience in Anxiety, Depression, Trauma and Emotion Regulation. Candidates with experience in Eating Disorders will be looked at more favourably. In this role, you will be responsible for providing individual, family, and group therapy sessions to clients struggling with Eating Disorders, trauma, emotion dysregulation, and other general mental health concerns. You will utilize various therapeutic modalities such as EFFT, DBT, FBT, IFS, and EMDR to best meet clients' needs. Additionally, you will conduct clinical assessments, engage in team supervision and training, and keep accurate documentation of client progress and treatment interventions. This is a part-time hybrid role at Healing Recovery Centre in Newmarket, ON.QualificationsMaster's Level MSW licensed with the College of Social Workers and Social Service WorkersRegistered Psychotherapist (RP) or Registered Psychotherapist Qualifying (RPq) licensed with the CRPOClinical Psychologist (PhD) Registered with the College of Psychologist Your Professional license must be active and in good standingExperience in conducting Individual therapy sessionsFormal training in Eating Disorders, with knowledge or training in DBT, EFFT, FBT, and trauma-based modalities preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to empathize and connect with clients from diverse backgroundsKnowledge of mental health disorders, treatments, and ethical guidelinesStrong understanding of the Eating Disorder Medical Model, including an understanding of meal support preferredExcellent problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesExperience with trauma-informed care and evidence-based practicesCollaborative approach in a multidisciplinary team settingCompassionate and empathetic towards clients, families and team memberAbility to acknowledge when supervision, consultation or additional support is needed to provide high quality careKey Responsibilities:Provide individual, family, and potentially group therapy to clients with General Mental Health concerns.Utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities (e.g., EFFT, DBT, FBT, IFS, EMDR) to address clients' needs effectively.Conduct clinical assessments to identify clients' needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.Work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team, engaging in team supervision and training.Collaborate with community partners and make referrals to higher levels of care when necessary.Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client progress and treatment interventions.Stay informed with the latest research and developments in the field.Attend team supervision, meetings, and trainings to enhance professional development.Accommodate in-person sessions weekly, including evening appointments.Education and Experience:Completion of M.S.W., Registered Psychotherapy (RP) or (RPq) or Clinical Psychology program (PhD) requiredExperience working in Eating Disorders as a licensed therapist is preferred.Experience providing individual and family therapy as a licensed therapist is requiredAvailabilityPart-time (10-15 hours per week)Hybrid role, however in-person appointments are currently the priority and will constitute the majority of your caseloadAvailability for evening appointments is also required Compensation and BenefitsCommission-based pay with opportunities for bonuses to be discussed with the employerAccess to professional development training and external supervision Regular individual clinical supervision is providedAdmin support and necessary software providedMarketing and digital advertising provided by the centreAccess to an interdisciplinary team for collaboration and supportAccess to self-care and team events to support ongoing personal and clinical growthApplicationInterested candidates can apply through LinkedIn or directly via email to info@healingrecoverycentre.caThank you for considering joining the Healing Recovery Centre team.
