Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Freelance Translator in Ottawa, ON. The Freelance Translator will be responsible for translating a wide range of content in various fields, including financial, legal, administrative, media and communications, scientific and medical, and more. The day-to-day tasks include translating documents, proofreading and editing translations, and ensuring accuracy and quality in all translated materials.

Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in at least two languages English and French
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Experience in translation and interpretation
  • Knowledge of specialized terminology in various fields
  • Degree in translation, languages, or related field
  • Certification or accreditation in translation is a plus
  • Experience using translation software and tools
  • Degree in Translation with 'ATIO' or 'OTTIAQ' certification
