Job Description

Mission: As a Structural Engineering – Buildings Co-op student, you will be involved in the computer-aided design and production of structural designs and drawings. You will participate in the development of the Vancouver region. You will have the opportunity to grow professionally and participate in a variety of multidisciplinary projects of all sizes, in an environment where accountability, autonomy, and trust are strongly encouraged.

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Assist with structural design on various buildings projects.
  2. Assist with site visits and field reviews on various projects in the greater Vancouver Area.
  3. Participate in coordination meetings with clients and other consultants.
  4. Develop new innovative design tools.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (3 years completed)
Candidates with previous structural engineering Internship or Co-op experience is an asset.
Student must have completed concrete and steel design classes.
Valid driver’s license
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Excellent ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Ability to apply technical knowledge to various practical problems.
A desire to learn and continually develop.
Strong personal commitment to safety.
