The Opportunity: A registered Physiotherapist to provide student supervision and preceptorship to students in the OTA & PTA (Occupational Therapist Assistant & Physiotherapist Assistant) Program within the Sault College Physiotherapy Clinic.
The Sault College Physiotherapy Clinic services students and staff from Sault College as well as individuals within our community. The registered Physiotherapist will be responsible for assessment, treatment and appropriate documentation related to client care. As well, the PT will also participate in the clinical teaching, supervision and evaluation of students completing fieldwork placements within the clinic. The incumbent is responsible for the security of client information, supplies and equipment maintenance, as well as the cleanliness and organization of the Sault clinic.
The clinic runs on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings from 8:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. (additional time expected for non-client care tasks)
What you need to be successful:
- License and registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
- Teaching/training experience is an asset
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills to work effectively within a collaborative team environment
- Excellent leadership and mentoring
- A strong commitment to academic excellence and student success
- Knowledge of a variety of relevant clinical software packages
This is a part-time teaching contract, with a start date of August 2024. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
