What you’ll do:

Reporting to the Bakery/Deli Manager, the Bakery/Deli Clerk is responsible for:

•Demonstrate day to day behaviours and actions that align with and strengthen our Co-op’s vision,mission, values, brand and focus on safety
•Properly prepare products to Co-op standards, package and label finished products, maintain production records
•Ensure to keep a clean and well maintained department
•Maintain and display all types of bakery/deli products according to department standards
•Continually monitor code dates to ensure the freshest inventory on the shelf at all times
•Engage and interact with guests to create a positive shopping experience – in person and on the phone
•Perform other duties as assigned

Who you are:
You are looking for an opportunity to work in Customer Service and:
•You have a grade 12 or equivalent experience; food service experience is preferred
•You’re honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do
•You are well organized, and capable of attaining a high level of production, with a minimum amount of supervision
•You are familiar with Food Safe procedures and practices
•Ability to lift and load products: extensive physical labour is required
•Flexible work schedule; weekend and evening work is required
