We specialize in providing medications for patients with chronic and complex medical conditions, such as HIV, rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, and more. We are looking for a Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our Rx Connect Specialty Pharmacy team in Waterloo. Preference will be given candidates who are *proficient with Kroll Pharmacy Management* Software and experienced in *troubleshooting* adjudication issues with public and private payers.
MUST be registered with the OCP as a pharmacy technician*_
* Assist Pharmacy Manager in the day-to-day management of workload;
* Collaborate with Pharmacists and Pharmacy Assistants to fulfill prescription orders
* Work collaboratively with Rx Connect Specialty Pharmacy Patient Programs in fulfilling pharmacy responsibilities.
* Prepare/review and process billings, claims, disbursements and related documents.
* Enter prescriptions into the computer; retrieve and/or correct data in computer.
* Order, maintain, and prepare inventory of medications.
* Pack and ship prescription orders.
* Receive and maintain accurate inventory.
* Liaise with private and public insurance providers to determine coverage options.
* Act as a central liaison for stakeholders such as physicians, nurses, patients, and clinics and provide required updates.
* The Registered Pharmacy Technician will also be assigned other duties and tasks as required from time to time.
*Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) with the Ontario College of Pharmacists
* Two or more years of related pharmacy experience;
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel);
* Excellent knowledge of pharmacy operations;
* Bilingualism, French/English is an asset
