The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating the cost of construction projects, including materials, labor, and overhead, to support project planning, budgeting, and procurement activities.
Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to understand project requirements and scope of work.
# Conduct quantity takeoffs and material calculations based on project drawings and specifications to determine material quantities required for construction.
# Solicit and analyze quotes from subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to determine labor and material costs for construction activities.
# Prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates, including itemized breakdowns of material, labor, equipment, and other project costs.
# Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving alternatives without compromising quality.
# Maintain a database of historical cost data, material prices, and labor rates to support the development of accurate cost estimates.
# Evaluate and compare subcontractor bids and proposals to ensure competitiveness and alignment with project requirements.
# Assist in the preparation of project budgets, schedules, and contract documents, and provide support to project teams throughout the pre-construction phase.
# Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes affecting construction costs and pricing.

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.

Proficiency in construction estimating software (e.g., Sage Estimating, ProEst, Bluebeam, or similar) and Microsoft Office suite.
