Instructor Guard

The Granite Club is looking for a part time Lifeguard/Swim Instructor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing safe and effective supervision of Members in and around the pool area including prevention of accidents, performance of first aid and water rescue when required and provide quality swim lessons to the Members in a safe and effective manner.
Healthy and delicious daily food offerings in our Staff Caf.
Performance of water rescue and first aid when necessary.
Follow assigned rotation, communicate with co workers and superiors of any member issues.
Monitor and record water conditions, temperature, chlorine PH, etc. throughout shift on daily report form and notify pool maintenance contractors of problems. Keep the pool area neat - pick up towels, toys, training equipment, etc.
Explain lane-swimming procedures to new section Members and assist with selecting a lane to swim in, stroke improvement, use of training equipment, etc.
Performance of water rescue and first aid when necessary.
Nice to Have: High Five Certification (Principles of Healthy Child Development).
Good communications skills and ability to speak English fluently.
Must be available to work weekdays, weekends and/or holidays, AM or PM
