Sr Manager (Accounting)Our public accounting firm is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Manager to join our team. As a Senior Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the work of staff accountants, reviewing financial statements and tax returns, and proposing and implementing tax plans and strategies as needed for various clients. Responsibilities: - Oversee the work of staff and senior accountants and review financial statements and tax returns - Ensure compliance with relevant tax and accounting updates - Develop and sustain excellent client relationships - Communicate with partners on business and client related matters requiring management oversight and input- Perform engagement management activities including billing analysis, invoicing, and engagement setup- Review associated client group accounts for potential tax pitfalls and planning opportunities Requirements: - Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience in public accounting, preferably in a small to medium sized firm, focused on owner-managed businesses, with 3-4 of those years being focused on tax related matters.- Strong technical skills and experience, with a focus on tax compliance, estate planning, restructuring (ie. Rollovers, estate freezes, capital gain strips, etc) - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to manage and mentor staff - Ability and willingness to engage directly with clients - CPA designation required- In-depth Tax Certification or a desire to pursue in-depth certification is highly preferred.
