Job Description

Our client is one of Ireland’s leading manufacturers of modular accommodation for the Irish market.

The Project Manager will report to the Contracts Manager and oversee project engineers and subcontractors.

To manage a site workforce in a safe and diligent manner, to the highest possible standard, on time and in line with the specification and design information provided.

  1. Taking a project from design phase to handover
  2. Managing Design Co-ordination workshops with design team, consultants, and trade Contractors
  3. Ensuring design is fully co-ordinated prior to starting on site where possible
  4. Overseeing construction operations on your designated sites
  5. Ensuring that work complies with building regulations where applicable
  6. Working with an appointed safety consultant to ensure all safety regulations are being adhered to
  7. Co-ordinating day-to-day site activities and nominated sub-contractors
  8. Liaising with Head office to ensure materials and labor are called to site when required
  9. Carrying out Daily & weekly safety checks and ensuring appointed sub-contractors are adhering to safety protocol
  10. Monitoring the construction program and enabling the subcontractors to carry out their works in accordance with their contract program
  11. Ensuring quality checks are carried out at various stages of the build & ensuring QA checks are being carried out
  12. Liaising with Local authority representatives and assigned certifiers to obtain handover of completed phases
  13. Dealing with any day-to-day problems which could hold up work as they arise
  14. Liaising closely with Contracts Manager, Quantity Surveyors Site managers, Finishing Foreman to ensure a high standard of work is achieved
  15. Working closely with junior staff, Sub Contractors, engineers, and external utility companies
  16. Updating and reporting back to head office regularly on progress
  17. Liaising with clients and keeping them updated on progress and upcoming milestones
  18. Embrace digital technology & Modern Methods of Construction systems used by the company
  19. Organize and liaise with the factory to schedule deliveries

Requirements:

  • Experience with Modular Build projects (not essential)
  • Worked with main/sub-contractor on large residential schemes
  • Can draft method statements, Programs, Liaise with Clients & sub-contractors
  • Carry out QA checks and snagging
  • Arrange logistics for complex deliveries
  • Organize and manage sub-contractors

Package:

Salary based on experience, negotiable for the right candidates.
