Equipment Operations Lead

Our client, a well-established organization in the industrial services sector, is seeking an experienced Equipment & Fleet Operations Lead to oversee the coordination, maintenance, and readiness of their field and shop-based equipment. This role ensures all assets are compliant, reliable, and fully supported for operational success. Oversee day-to-day fleet and equipment readiness, ensuring availability, reliability, and compliance.
Coordinate with Operations, Project Teams, and external vendors to meet equipment needs across multiple sites.
Conduct inspections, verify maintenance documentation, and ensure all procedures are completed accurately and on schedule.
Maintain an up-to-date equipment inventory for all shop, yard, and field locations.
Verify equipment insurance, registration, permits, and certificates are consistently current.
Monitor corrective actions related to inspections, investigations, and deficiencies; Maintain strong working knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements (DOT, TDG, Transport Canada).
Participate in the selection, onboarding, and training of Drivers and Field/Shop Technicians.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and uphold safety-sensitive practices.
2+ years of experience in fleet, equipment coordination, or maintenance administration.
~ Background in industrial, oilfield, construction, plant, or field services environments.
~ Solid knowledge of provincial Health & Safety regulations and transportation requirements (DOT, TDG, Transport Canada).
~ Certifications such as H2S Alive, CSO, First Aid/CPR are considered assets.
~ Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and digital maintenance/asset tracking systems.
