We're actively seeking a Senior Python Developer to bolster our team. This remote role requires expertise in Python development, particularly in quantitative financial modeling. You'll spearhead the design, coding, and rigorous testing of enhancements to financial projection models and tools, leveraging Python, Pandas, Numpy, and PyTorch. This position is remote and must be based in either Canada or the USA.
Design, code, and test enhancements to financial projection models and related tools in Python.
Maintain and enhance distributed computing functionality using MSHPC, including maintaining a Python API for launching and consolidating distributed jobs.
Build and maintain Graphical User Interfaces using tools like Plotly Dash, Power BI, Tableau, or other Business Intelligence tools.
At least 5 years of experience as a professional software developer, witha minimum of 2 years developing code in Python, with possibly three years of experience with an object oriented language such as Java, C++, C#
Minimum of 3 years of software engineering/software architecture experience.
Python experience should include Pandas, Numpy, PyTorch.
Superior time management skills and solid ability to handle multiple projects at once with minimal supervision.
Strong communication skills, specifically being able to explain complicated technical concepts to business users without IT backgrounds.
Front-end development experience.
