Finance
Develop and implement financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning
Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights and recommendations to executive leadership for decision-making
Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports to the executive leadership, board of directors, and other stakeholders
Work directly with the organization’s accountant and auditors to ensure that financial accounting and annual financial reports are prepared in accordance with standard accounting procedures
Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
Monitor and coordinate the management of the organization’s investments
Manage cash flow to support daily operations
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, laws, and internal policies
Identify financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate them effectively
Manage insurance and liability coverages, as well as vendor relationships, service contracts and partner agreements
Operations / Administration
Ensure that proper management control systems and policies and procedures are in place and always utilized
Participate in strategic planning sessions and provide financial insights to support long-term growth objectives
Engage with external stakeholders to effectively manage the administration of the organization
Oversee the development and implementation of the organization’s communications and prevention programs
Provide direction, leadership and support to staff including oversight of program activities, recruiting, training, and mentoring of related staff
Evaluate individual and team performance on a regular and ongoing basis
Professional certification in Accounting (CPA preferred) or related field and/or a combination of education and experience
Minimum of 6 years’ experience in a senior position managing finance, human resources, and operations
Experience in financial modeling, financial analysis, and preparing financial reports
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with the executive leadership, board of directors, and stakeholders
Excellent organizational skills, including capacity to coordinate multiple projects and initiatives, and prioritize effectively to work within deadlines and meet deliverables
Demonstrated ability to be flexible, bring positivity to the organization, work independently, and show initiative and creativity
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks
Experience in a non-profit or member-based organization an asset
