Job Description

Our client in the manufacturing industry is seeking a Demand Planner to join their team. The demand planner plays a pivotal role in analyzing sales and marketing data, alongside customer projections and trends. They actively participate in the forecast transfer and measurement process while also contributing to the preparation for Sales & Operations Planning meetings. Additionally, they are instrumental in driving service levels, optimizing inventories, and aligning efforts to support sales targets.

Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain and update monthly forecasting systems.
  2. Participate in cross-functional planning meetings.
  3. Conduct thorough analysis and report findings.
  4. Serve as a key point of contact for stakeholders regarding forecasting, data analysis, and business activities.
  5. Engage in root cause analysis.
  6. Coordinate with the Brand Team to understand product launch dates and track forecasts.
  7. Collaborate with the account team to develop accurate SKU-level forecasts.
  8. Review customer-supplied order forecasts and inventory positions to address potential inventory issues.
  9. Analyze customer point-of-sale (POS) data to identify sales trends and ensure adequate inventory coverage.
  10. Assess customer purchases by SKU to maintain inventory targets.
  11. Communicate promotional activities to meet target dates effectively.
  12. Establish a scorecard to evaluate forecasting accuracy for both customer-supplied and internal forecasts.
Qualifications:

Strong background in Supply Chain management, with a track record of generating accurate demand/sales forecasts.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or Business Administration preferred; additional education in Supply Chain is advantageous.
1-3 years of experience in supply planning/forecasting.
Proficiency in SAP.
Experience in data analysis and reporting, with advanced Excel skills.
Excellent communication skills and ability to engage stakeholders effectively.
Strong leadership skills to lead meetings and collaborate with the US Forecasting Team, with understanding of SAP and Vanguard systems
