Our client, is an international technology leader in electrification and automation, is actively seeking an Automation Engineer to join their growing team in the Longueuil, QC area. Their solutions connect engineering know-how and software to optimize how things are manufactured, moved, powered and operated. As an Automation Engineer, you will be the technical lead and design authority for Process Automation engineering projects in Renewable, Oil & Gas, Chemical, Power Generation, Water treatment industries and global projects, making technical recommendations and enhancing customer satisfaction by providing excellent service. Responsibilities: Work closely with customers to shape and deliver solutions and utilize feedback to drive delivery of improvements for medium to large complex projects. Resolve technical issues both remotely and at customer sites in US (United States) and abroad. Assist Project Managers with claims, customer specifications and safety standards, as well as technical details, costs and deliverables for sales proposals. Cost effectively execute Distributed Control System project deliverables on time in accordance with specifications, standards and safety requirements. Design, Test and Commission Automation Enclosures, Control Logic and Human Machine Interfaces with the client or third party Control System. Create and deliver work plans, budgets and risk assessments. Develop your management skills by working with entry level employees. Develop, select, and apply standard techniques, procedures and tools, reporting inefficiencies and identify improvement opportunities. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or other engineering degree and minimum 8, and 12 or more preferred, years of experience in engineering, working as an Engineer with Distributed Control Systems. Candidates must be able to read, write and speak English fluently (being fluent in French is a strong asset). Sound knowledge of engineering techniques, processes and tools. Excellent work experience provided for an international organization
