CDSPI helps dentists and dental students achieve and maintain financial well-being by empowering them to protect and grow their wealth with customized financial advice, insurance, and investments.About the jobReporting to the Manager of Insurance Advisory Services, this position is responsible for providing high quality, front-line service to new and existing clients. By acting as a first line of contact for prospective clients and working with insurers, adjusters, and clients to keep accounts updated, the Claims & Customer Service Representative will establish and support the foundation for CDSPI’s long-term trusted relationships based on an understanding and appreciation of the unique protection needs of the dental community. By understanding client needs and making the right referral, this position plays a significant role in implementing solutions to protect dentists’ lives, incomes, and their practices throughout the various stages of their lives and careers.Key AccountabilitiesThe position will include the following responsibilities:Working within a team-based approach, act as the primary point of contact for client inquires, handling all inbound and outbound calls and emails from clients while providing excellent service.Identify opportunities and refer clients to a licenced Insurance Advisor, or other partner, when coverage advice is needed.Participate in initiatives for new business and retention through lapsed coverage, payment, and account information calls.Update client accounts with claim information and work with insurers, adjusters, and clients to respond to claims-related inquiries.Provide assistance and advocacy for clients to resolve insurance issues with the insurer.Contribute to operational and strategic projects as required.Work collaboratively with the Administration, Investment, and Marketing and Customer Experience teams.Provides input to Manager, Insurance Advisory Services, for progress reports and recommendations to be presented to the Executive Team.Performs other duties as assigned from time to time by the Vice-President, Advisory Services or the Manager, Insurance Advisory Services.About youThe successful candidate will have the following:Experience1 – 3 years of service experience in the insurance industryCompetencies and AttributesA passion for making a positive impact on the customer experienceStrong communication and inter-personal skillsTime management skills to meet deadlinesDemonstrated initiative to take ownership of roleProficiency with Microsoft Office SuiteAt CDSPI, we are committed to fostering an inclusive, accessible environment, where all employees and customers feel valued, respected, and supported.
