Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and experienced Art Director to lead and collaborate with our creative team in conceptualizing and executing high-quality visual content. The Art Director will be responsible for overseeing the visual aspects of advertising, branding, and marketing projects, while coordinating and guiding the work of copywriters, designers, videographers, and digital marketers.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of artistic vision, marketing acumen, and business expertise to the role, paired with a keen eye for design and a dedication to delivering dynamic ideas that engage and resonate with the audience. As an Art Director, you will:

  • Develop and Collaborate: Lead and collaborate with creative teams to devise innovative concepts and strategies for campaigns and projects, ensuring that all work is visually compelling, cohesive, and aligned with client goals.
  • Ensure Excellence: Guarantee that all deliverables are of the highest quality, pushing the boundaries of creativity and innovation.
  • Oversee Creative Design: Review and approve key creative materials, ensuring they meet the project's vision and standards. Ensure the overall design standard at Iconium Media is always pushing quality from a 7 to a 9.
  • Team Collaboration : Work closely with a talented team of copywriters, designers, photographers, digital marketers, videographers, project managers, and other essential team members to bring creative visions to life.
  • Cross-Functional Integration: Partner with cross-functional teams to meet project objectives and exceed client expectations.
  • Client Interaction: As required, present creative solutions with Client Manager to clients, gather and incorporate their feedback, and provide expert recommendations to enhance project outcomes.
  • Manage Timelines and Budgets: Adhere to project timelines and budgets, ensuring all deliverables are completed on time and within budget constraints.
  • Stay Informed: Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, integrating this knowledge into your strategies and deliverables.
  • Team Development: Collaborate with the project management team to assign tasks to the right individuals, ensuring optimal results and growth for the creative team while providing constructive feedback.
  • Navigate Growth & Change: Work with Iconium's design coach to manage change effectively and strive for excellence in fulfilling your role.

This role is ideal for a dynamic and visionary leader who can inspire a team to produce exceptional work that drives results and delights clients.

Qualifications

  • Education in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Visual Arts, Visual Communication, or related field
  • 4+ years of experience as an Art Director or similar leadership position, and/or
  • 3+ years of experience in an agency environment
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
  • Proficient in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong understanding of design principles, typography, and colour theory
  • Experience in branding, marketing, and digital design
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams
