Bilingual Advisor, Life InsuranceLocation: Remote, QuebecEmpire life is looking to hire a Bilingual Life Insurance Advisor to join our Retail Distribution team The Advisor with Empire Connect promotes client retention and sales by establishing effective relationships with customers, developing financial plans, providing financial advice and recommending and placing products that meet customer Insurance and Investment needs. The incumbent is guided by defined goals and objectives and works under the general supervision of the Sales Manager of the business unit.Why pursue this opportunityOur mission - make insurance, investments and benefits simple, fast and easy for our customers.Impactful work - get the opportunity to work on meaningful projects that have a positive impact on our customers, our company, and society as a whole.Deliver excellence - provide a personal, accurate, professional, and courteous service and resolution to our customers.Diversity, equity, and inclusion - we are committed to creating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace and welcome candidates who share this commitment.What you’ll be working onRepresent the Empire Life brand to drive sales and ensure retention of existing business in the insurance and investment marketsConduct regular and targeted meetings with customers to gain an in-depth understanding of their unique financial and insurance needs in order to advise on financial planning and to promote the features and benefits of investment and insurance productsAchieve defined sales and retention targets within Empire Life blocks; as well as in personal and professional networksRecommend and place life and health insurance, including investment products that provide financial planning solutions that meet customer needsInitiate contact with existing and prospective customers, using a consultative approach, identify their financial needs and evaluate their existing portfolio of products; conduct regular reviews and adjust their financial plan as neededOnboard customers acquired through acquisition of existing blocks of business and review and augment former advisor records to ensure compliance and business practice standards are metEnsure communication with and service provided to customers is effective and professional, create a positive customer experience and promotes retention and sales of businessUse digital platforms to place products during meetings with customersMaintain an intimate understanding of Empire Life life and health insurance and investment products for effective consultation with customersLeverage cross-channel sales opportunities by proactively referring business to the appropriate channelBuild and maintain a strong knowledge and understanding of current market trends, the competitive landscape and competitor product linesBuild and maintain a solid understanding of Empire Life defined sales processes and practices for investments and insurance productsWhat we’re looking for you to have2+ years demonstrated experience in a direct customer service, customer relations and sales environment in the insurance/financial services industryBilingual in English and FrenchA valid driver’s licenseExperience as a life licensed advisorLife License Qualification Program (LLQP) and AMF (Quebec) and life insurance licensed as defined by regulators in applicable ProvincesExperience working in a digital environmentStrong relationship building skillsStrong influencing and presentation skillsWell-developed organization, prioritization and time management skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsTact, diplomacy and ability to handle confidential informationUniversity degree or a College diploma for equivalent experienceEnglish is required for communicating with English speaking customers, advisors, or employees across Canada.Beyond the salaryFor regular full-time positions, Empire Life offers a comprehensive total rewards package that includes:Competitive salaries with annual pay increasesAnnual bonus program, which recognizes both strong company performance and individual contributions, for non sales positionsCompetitive uncapped commission, for sales positionsA comprehensive employer-funded benefits package that includes life insurance, disability, health and dental and a generous health accountFlexible work arrangements and an annual allotment of personal health days.Four weeks annual vacation from hire dateA defined contribution pension plan with generous employer matchingTop up programs for parental leave and compassionate leaveEmployer-sponsored wellness and recognition programsA cash employee referral programTo learn more about working at Empire Life, visit to know usEmpire life is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
