Cleaner (NOC 65310)

We are looking for a diligent and hardworking person to become part of the Benchmark Property Management (Yukon) Ltd team as a full-time cleaner.
Expected hours are 30-40 per week, with bi-weekly payroll. The duties and other information for this role are as follows:
Duties
- Perform weekly cleaning tasks within Whitehorse City limits
- Perform move-in and end of tenancy deep cleans (specialist sub-contractors are used for certain deep cleaning tasks – e.g. ducts)
- Maintain accurate records of work completed using the MaintainX app, including taking photographs of items requiring replacement, repair and identifying follow-up tasks
- Maintain inventory of goods at company storage facilities across Whitehorse
- You will report directly to the business owner for all weekly task scheduling, but be expected to show initiative and resourcefulness should spare time be available at each property
- Other duties as assigned
Cleaning tasks include:
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors
- Dust and wipe down surfaces
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
- Clean windows and glass surfaces
- Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture.
- Launder linens in the laundry facilities at each property.
- Make beds and change sheets.
- Clean and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances.
- Follow established MaintainX cleaning procedures and safety guidelines
- Report any maintenance or repair needs via MaintainX to the designated property manager
Note: All cleaning products will be provided by the company for use at the properties at the company’s cost.
Skills
- Attention to detail to ensure thorough cleaning of each property
- Ability to work independently at each job site
- Discretion – you will be working in people’s homes and we expect a high degree of confidentiality in relation to those properties and the tenants at all times
- Time management skills to complete tasks within designated timeframes
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects (as required)
Required Documents
- Criminal record check
- Full driving license and abstract from Yukon Motor Vehicles
Work conditions and physical capabilities
- Bending, crouching, kneeling

Schedule
- 30-40 hours per week
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed by prior arrangement with the business owner with days in lieu
Location: Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada
Experience: Cleaning (Previous experience is preferred but not required. Training will be provided)
Language: English (applicants need to be able to communicate effectively)
Salary: From $19.00 per hour plus statutory vacation pay
