Choosing Air Transat means enjoying competitive compensation, a full range of benefits and a travel advantages program, but first and foremost it means working with a team of aviation enthusiasts.We offer you:Flexible vacationthat will allow you to enjoy 2 confirmed passes, unlimited standby tickets and a multitude of discounts to help you create your most beautiful travel memoriesThe perfect work environment to develop your talent and build a career with usNo split shiftsJob DescriptionThe incumbents will be responsible for the processing of luggage, both at the departures and arrivals levels.Responsabilités :The ramp agent prepares, loads and unloads luggage from the aircrafts.The ramp agent marshals aircraft from and to their parking area for departures and arrivals`;He operates and positions various airside equipment and vehicles in order to provide the necessary services to arriving and departing aircraftConform to the legal rules pertinent to the airport industry, Health and Safety at work as well as all the other company’s policies and work procedures.Be able to react properly in case of emergency and apply the measures to be taken.All other tasks necessary for the good operation of the Ramp Service Department.QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent experience.Minimum of 2 years experience in an Airport environment.Hold a Class 5 driver’s license.Must be able to obtain and maintain a RAIC card.Must be able to obtain and maintain an AD ramp permit.You must successfully complete the initial training to obtain the ramp agent position.You must successfully complete a medical examination required by Air Transat, as well as applicable security checks, including criminal records.Bilingualism (French/English).Must be available to work on various shifts (day, evening, night, week-ends, holidays). Must be available 24/7.Ability to lift heavy objects.Ability to bend frequently, push/pull stack and kneel in small confined areas.Ability to read an interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous material identification labels, aircraft loading manifest, and luggage and cargo routing tags.Have the capacity to work under various climatic conditions.Enjoy working in a team environment.Work uniform and airport parking are provided.Additional InformationWork uniform and airport parking provided.Schedule: 4/3 rotation (4 days of 10 hours/day for 40 hours/week)Employment EquityAt Transat, we foster an environment where inclusiveness, respect and equity reign.
