Why join us at MCA Dental, Dental Studio South?We value our team and invest in training and development for Dental Hygienists to help them achieve advancement and reach their professional and personal goals.• Access more locations giving you the opportunity for schedule flexibility or relocation• Upward career mobility• A fun, welcoming environment focused on patient care• 100% employer paid benefits (eligibility)• Uniform allowance• Paid sick days• CE opportunitiesLocation:Dental Clinic in London Ontario - Welcome to Dental Studio London400 Avondale Road London, ON N5W 5B7Schedule Required:(*Please note: If you have availability within any of these days/hours, we want to hear from you Flexible scheduling is an option, we are happy to discuss further)Monday: 8:00 – 5:00Tuesday: 10:00 – 8:00Wednesday: 8:00 – 5:00About the Job:We are looking for a Dental Hygienist to join our team - providing excellent patient centric care is our passionResponsibilities:The ideal candidate will uphold the highest standards of patient care and be passionate about educating on the treatment that will ensure the best outcome for their patients.• Adhere to and uphold the highest standards of infection control practices and guidelines, including while processing instruments and treatment rooms• Medical health history screening and updates• Conduct baseline and routine assessments (including full mouth charting, probing, oral cancer screening)• Radiographs (as prescribed by the Dentist) or dental impressions as required• Identify conditions and oral disease such as: gingivitis, caries or periodontitis• Dental Hygiene treatment planning including patient specific preventive dental care (scaling, prophy, fluoride etc. as required)• Educate patients by providing oral hygiene instruction, plaque control instructions and postoperative instructions as required• Maintain accurate documentation/charting• Collaborate with the team to monitor supplies• Identify gaps in clinical schedule and assist with scheduling, such as: booking preventive recall appointments, following up with outstanding treatment plans• Collaborate with colleagues during down-time in schedule (Dental Hygienists, Dental Assistants Dentists and Administration)• Attend continuing education events from time to time and as requiredRequirements:• Diploma in Dental Hygiene• Registered Dental Hygienist in good standing with the CDHO• Outstanding communication skills and attention to detail• A friendly personality who works collaboratively with a team#indeedmca1MCA values diversity and is committed to creating and fostering a diverse team and an inclusive work environment.
