Fundraising Consultant

Journey to Diversity Workplaces (J2DW) is a non-profit organization that aims to improve the business and social environment by championing diversity and inclusion along with progressive workplace policies. We are looking for a volunteer fundraising consultant who can help us raise awareness and funds for our cause.

Responsibilities

As a volunteer fundraising consultant, you will be responsible for:

• Identifying and contacting potential donors, sponsors, and partners who can support our mission and vision
• Pitching and selling our fundraising products and services, such as event tickets, merchandise, memberships, and sponsorships
• Negotiating and closing deals with donors, sponsors, and partners, ensuring that they receive the best value and benefits for their contributions
• Building and maintaining long-term relationships with donors, sponsors, and partners, providing them with regular updates and feedback on our impact
• Achieving and exceeding fundraising targets and goals, while adhering to ethical and professional standards

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• A passion for diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and sales skills
• Experience in fundraising, sales, or marketing, preferably in the non-profit sector
• A willingness to learn new skills and take on new challenges
• Flexible availability to commit at least 10 hours per week
• Knowledge of the Zeffy fundraising platform is desirable.

As a volunteer fundraising consultant, you will receive:

• An honorarium of 8% commission on all donations made through your efforts
