Junior Environmental Scientist, Engineer or Technician - London
WSP is currently seeking a Junior Environmental Scientist, Engineer or Technician to join our rapidly growing Environmental group in London. The role will work closely with our team of environmental professionals and will be integral in providing support for our ongoing environmental projects including:
# Site characterization for contaminants
# Soil/water/vegetation condition assessments
# Due diligence document review and field assessments
# Remediation and surface reclamation projects

The position involves working in a close-knit team of dedicated professionals and you will be responsible for:
Planning and carrying out field assessment and data collection exercises
Presenting findings in reports
This role will focus primarily on our upstream oil and gas portfolio, with opportunities in other industries such as commercial, industrial, and mining clients.
Responsibilities:
# Assisting with budget preparation, tracking costs
# Providing project status updates and reports for Phase I, II, and III Environmental Site Assessments
# Unsupervised performance of field assignments
# Teaming with project technicians, scientists, contractors, and other field personnel
# Collection and documentation of pertinent field data
# Communicating with clients, service companies, laboratories, government, and partners
# Assisting with the preparation of technical reports
# Ensuring implementation of safety programs

Requirements:
University degree or technical diploma in environmental science, engineering, technology, or related discipline
Understanding of current regulatory environmental guidelines
Excellent reporting and interpersonal skills
Valid Class 5 driver's license with no restrictions
Hardworking, positive attitude, and team spirit
