Our client in the medical field is seeking to hire a Medical Receptionist to join their team on a fulltime permanent basis. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and efficient front desk operation. This role is essential in maintaining the smooth workflow of the clinic/hospital, coordinating patient appointments, and providing exceptional customer service.
Schedule : Full-time, 5 days per week (Monday to Friday)
Hours: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Location: Nepean

Key Responsibilities
Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner. Address patient inquiries and provide accurate information about the clinic/hospital services.
Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using the clinic’s electronic health record system. Ensure appointments are efficiently organized to optimize the providers' schedules.
Answer incoming calls, emails, and messages promptly. Direct inquiries to the appropriate department or personnel.
Perform clerical duties including filing, scanning, and data entry. Ensure patient records are up-to-date and securely maintained.
Process patient payments, verify insurance details, and assist with billing inquiries. Maintain accurate financial records.
Facilitate communication between patients, medical staff, and healthcare providers. Assist with coordinating referrals and follow-up appointments.

Required Experience and Skills
~ Medical Office Administration diploma preferred but not required.
~2-years of experience working in a medical clinic setting.
~ Proficient in Oscar medical electronic software
~ Knowledge of Word and Excel
~ Familiarity with Epic
