YOUR NEXTCHALLENGE:

· Reporting to the Community Relations in Ontario youwill be part of the Indigenous Affairs Department. You will be accountable toincrease cultural awareness, recruitment and development of Indigenous Peoples,which includes training programs, community relations and consultation supportfor DLM. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved whilepromoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code ofConduct and the environment.

· Advocate for increased awareness surroundingIndigenous equity and inclusion in operational activities;

· Support the identification and development ofstrategies to address employment barriers for Indigenous Peoples;

· Build and maintain relationships with employment andtraining coordinators from Partner Indigenous Nations;

· Support internal departments in improving andfulfilling commitments related to procurement processes as it relates toemployment, education and training;

· Support delivery and continual improvement ofIndigenous awareness training and capacity building;

· Leverage culturally appropriate practices, to helpdemonstrate employment and/or retention strategies;

· Organize and facilitate cultural ceremonies andactivities at DLM;

· Support attendance, wellness monitoring and employeerelations as it pertains to personnel retention, family, bereavement,spirituality and community engagement issues;

· Support administrative responsibilities (e.g., notetaking) that advance commitments and activities with Partner IndigenousNations;

· Support Indigenous talent enrolled in DLM programs,such as the Apprenticeship Program, Indigenous Supervisory Program, Test ofWorkplace Essentials Skills (TOWES) programs and other training opportunities;

· Support the Human Resources team in providing weeklyperformance updates, recruitment strategies, corrective actions and assistance,interviews and associated follow-up;

· Support the communication of Indigenous employeeprogression, promotions and career changes to Partner Indigenous Nations anddesignated coordinators upon request;

· Coordinate and/or attend community engagementfunctions including National Indigenous Peoples Day, National Day of Truth andReconciliation, Nation-specific celebrations, job fairs and other communityevents;

· Collaborate with external agencies to promoteemployment, training, education, mental health and as-needed social supportprograms within communities;

· Document records of engagement and consultationthrough Borealis;

· Assist in planning, executing and documentingengagement and consultation activities in support of regulatory permits andapprovals;

· Support implementation of commitments with PartnerIndigenous Nations in conformity with internal guidelines and key performanceindicators;

· Participate in audits that ensure compliance withagreements or standards;

· Collect the information needed to produce variousinternal and external communication and reporting requirements;

· Support the development and continual improvement of aCommunity Relations Strategy for Ontario;

· Support the Community Relations team in theachievement of DLM-specific objectives;

· Collaborate with environment, human resources,procurement, communications, and other internal functions to implement thecompany’s community relations strategies and procedures;

· As part of 7:7 rotation, travel to participate invarious outreach events, such as career fairs, meetings, and celebrations;

· Continually seek opportunities to grown and enhanceyour skills that support your role and Indigenous Affairs team.

WHAT YOUNEED TO SUCCEED

· Post-secondary degree in a related field, or minimumfive years of experience coordinating development programs in the mining orindustrial sector, developing and implementing recruitment initiatives,consultation and engagement, and working with Indigenous Nations;

· Demonstrate awareness and understanding of Indigenouscultural protocols, traditions, and practices;

· Knowledge of Indigenous ways of being, knowing anddoing, with a commitment to cultural sensitivity and respect in the workplace;

· Effective communication skills, includingpresentations and report writing;

· Demonstrate interpersonal and group relation skills,planning and organizing skills, information gathering and analysis skills, andproblem solving;

· Ability to maintain confidentiality while handlingsensitive information;

· Experience developing training budgets and fundingrequests;

· Exceptional ability to work within a diverse team;

· Must have a valid driver’s license and be able totravel throughout Ontario;

· Ability and willingness to travel to remote locations;

· Must wear and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)at DLM, which is supplied for the position, in accordance with site policies,Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and/or instructed by DLM;

· Excellent English written and oral communicationskills. Bilingualism with French, Cree, Algonquin and/or Anishinaabe consideran asset;

· Lived experience and understanding of IndigenousPeoples and Northern Ontario considered an asset;

· Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft OfficeSuite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.

YOUR WORKSCHEDULE

· Schedule: 7/7 schedule at our Detour Lake Mine;

Accommodationsand meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagleprovides transportation to and from the mine site and will accommodate to coverother travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
