The key to your success in this will be starting with aligning the business’s recent cultural transformation. In this role you will provide both tactical and strategic direction in all core areas of HR, you will have to be very hands-on and able to roll up your sleeves as this is a stand-alone role, with the support of an HR Administrator. You will lead the areas of employee relations and engagement, performance management, policy development, learning and development, recruitment, recognition, retention, total rewards and health and safety. In this role, you will provide strategic HR direction for the entire organization, including the corporate head office, sales and warehouse divisions across Canada and the US. You will provide training programs to develop the skills and behaviour required to support the organization's evolving culture. You will focus on developing leaders who can embody and propagate the desired cultural values. You will work to establish clear metrics and KPIs to measure progress and the impact of cultural transformation.What you’ll need to SucceedTo succeed as the Senior Manager People and Culture, you will bring 9+ years of progressive HR experience, with a minimum of 2+ years at a Management level. You will have post-secondary education in HR, in the form of a BA HRM, HRM Certification and/ or CHRL. You will have experience with employment human and labour laws, and health and safety legislation across Canada and the US. You will have thorough knowledge of legislative compliance and have knowledge of best practices relating to Human Resources. You will bring proven change management experience and be a change agent who is passionate about driving cultural transformation. You will be skilled with strategic process improvement, planning and execution, while being able to be hands-on and enjoy rolling up your sleeves. You will be a self-starter, who is flexible and adaptable, and you will be able to operate with confidentiality and work effectively with a focus on aligning and meeting both business and people objectives. You will have fantastic communication skills, be polished and professional and have strong interpersonal skills. You will be able to multitask, probe, analyze and problem solve in your day to day. Finally, you will have strong organizational skills and be excited about joining and supporting one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies during a key period of change.
