Camino Search is thrilled to be partnering with an exciting SaaS corporation in Montreal. The business has just established a new portfolio and is seeking an ambitious and driven finance professional to lay the foundations and operate. This is a fantastic opportunity with huge scope to grow the function and become a key leader in the business. Ideally you would have a CPA/accounting background before steering into the world of strategic finance. You must be comfortable working wit SaaS metrics, able to impact a broad function operationally with system and process enhancements, as well as integration tactics. Key responsibilities:Work directly with the investment partner to scale up the finance organization, intaking a number of new businesses per year into the portfolio. Drive the financial planning of the company by analyzing the performance and risks of the portfolioSet targets for and supervise all accounting and finance personnel (Accounting, FP&A, AR, AP)Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reportsBuild and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts and track KPIsMonitor and analyze performance strategies to identify areas of opportunity, respond with action plans to ensure execution to meet and exceed financial targetsMonitor the financial health of portfolio and ensure positive cash-flowLead and organize the annual statutory audits and ensure all filings are completedDevelop strategies to increase return on investment and profitabilityOversee and review accounting tasks, including tax and complianceEnsure effective financial internal controls and continually evaluate established policies and proceduresCollaborate with the integration team of newly acquired companies by producing opening balances, complete financials, and onboarding on proceduresMaintain high-level interaction with the corporate finance departmentActively participate in the processes related to the sale or acquisition of companiesExperience required:Around 10 years’ experience in finance and accountingCPA preferred Familiarity with SaaS metrics Able to unlock value and advise on operational efficiency from a people, process and systems standpoint
