Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting veterinarians in providing medical care to animals, performing various laboratory tests, administering treatments, and providing exceptional client service.

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures
  • Perform laboratory tests such as bloodwork, urinalysis, and cytology
  • Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments
  • Monitor anesthesia and patient vital signs during surgeries
  • Educate clients on animal care, medication administration, and preventive health measures
  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with regulations

Requirements

  • Diploma in Veterinary Technology from an accredited institution
  • Registered or eligible for registration with the New Brunswick Veterinary Medical Association
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with a team
  • Compassionate attitude towards animals and their owners
  • Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or hospital is preferred
