This engineer will contribute to achieving team goals through fulfilling various responsibilities as allocated.This is hybrid opportunity in Mississauga, ON.What you get to do every day:Monitor, maintain, and support Applications in Azure and AWS cloud Development and Test environmentsManage Azure and AWS cloud Inventory and new infrastructure deploymentsAssist the team in achieving established goals and departmental objectives.Participate in an environment that emphasizes trust, open communication, creative thinking, and cohesive team effort.Contribute to roadmap development, execution, and releases.Work with other engineering teams to identify and implement improvements to infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring etc.Write code and contribute to the software architecture of a highly concurrent, high throughput system on the AWS cloud.Contribute to infrastructure improvements, architecture, development, and deployment.Standardize, develop, and maintain common development tools and infrastructure, such as CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, cluster management, config management, etc.Maintain professional and technical knowledge by following the broader industry, attending training sessions and educational workshops.Help maintain a workplace culture that is consistent with the overall organization with an emphasis on the KUBRA mission, vision, guiding principles, and values.Maintain and adhere to quality and service standards, analyze, and resolve issues, identify trends, and recommend improvements.Develop documentation, including but not limited to platform requirements and functional specifications.Concurrently work on a variety of projects and tasks using a variety of technologies.May travel to visit clients or other KUBRA offices throughout North America to participate in design sessions and deliver technical presentations and trainingWhat kind of person should you be?Excellent written and verbal communications skills and an ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism in all client communications.Ability to influence others, build relationships, manage conflicts, and handle negotiations.Understanding and following the business strategy, objectives, and adjusting to performance metrics.Excellent organization, time management, problem-solving, and analytical skills.Ability to handle pressure and focus on results.What skills do you need?3+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, microservice architectures, Operations or DevOps roles.3+ years of experience writing Puppet code to customize Windows server configurations.Experience with Azure and Amazon AWS cloud services such as EC2, S3, RDS etc. is required.Experience in building, running, and scaling microservices using Kubernetes, Istio, Docker, monitoring services like (Prometheus, DataDog, New Relic etc.) etc. is strongly preferred.Experience with building, managing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, TeamCity, Fortify, Octopus Deploy, etc.)Proficiency in Windows, Azure, AWS, and distributed application architectures.Experience in distributed applications on public cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, Azure etc.Experience working with and supporting software development teams.Experience with different software development languages (e.g., Java, .NET, python, go, etc.)Experience with security and compliance within a organization (e.g. ITIL, PCI, SOC, etc.)Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experienceTechnical certifications are preferredKUBRA is an equal opportunity employer dedicated to building an inclusive and diverse workforce.
