West Park Healthcare Centre helps patients recover by providing inpatient, outpatient, and outreach services in specialized rehabilitation and complex care after a life-altering illness, disease, or injury such as lung disease, amputation, stroke, and musculoskeletal trauma.
*This year is an exciting year for West Park as our 27-acre site will be transformed into an integrated campus of care, including a new hospital building and additional community supports such as assisted living for persons with disabilities and seniors.
This transformation enables the Centre to evolve its rehabilitative programs and strengthen links to community-based services to meet the future healthcare needs of our local community and the province. West Park is embarking on two major capital projects to bring together specialized rehabilitative, complex continuing, primary and long-term care and independent living opportunities.
*The Prosthetic/Orthotic Technician provides technical expertise in the design and creating “prosthetics” and “orthotic” devices and their components with a focus on achieving optimal fit, functionality, aesthetics, and craftsmanship.*
*Manufacture a wide range of prosthetic and orthotic devices while ensuring patient safety and high quality by following prescriptions provided and manufacturer recommendations.
· Provide back-up coverage to Senior Prosthetic and Orthotic Technician during planned absences and as required.
· Graduate of an OPC recognized technical Prosthetic and Orthotic program is required
· Strong technical aptitude
· Basic computer skills
