NorthWind Land Resources Inc. is an environmental consulting firm with offices in Edmonton, Calgary, Peace River and Athabasca and a field office in Edson, Alberta. The firm was established in 1999 and has acquired a solid reputation for providing clients with expertise in the fields of reclamation, remediation and overall environmental liability management. We are currently looking for an Intermediate Contaminated Sites Specialist based out of Edmonton or Calgary to add to our strong team of environmental professionals. This position will include both field and office duties with the split dependent both on season and individual program requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience planning and completing Phase 2 Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) and remediation projects, possess a strong understanding of the current contaminated sites regulatory framework in Alberta, and be willing and able to share their expertise through the training and mentoring of Junior staff.
Planning, coordination and field supervision of Phase 2 ESA and remediation projects
Assist Senior Project and Program Managers with the overall management and delivery of assessment (P1/P2/P3 ESA) programs
Supervision and training/mentoring of junior staff
Liaise with clients, regulatory bodies and landowners
Implementation of corporate and client safety programs
Report writing and review for NorthWind’s assessment and remediation projects
Preparation of work plans, budgets, technical memos, and letters
Experience managing a wide range of upstream oil and gas projects
~ Experience communicating with private landowners
~ Background/experience in land reclamation will be considered a strong asset
