Job Description

We are looking for a Site Superintendent for a client who is a well-established general construction company operating in Calgary and area. The ideal candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills with a history of executing projects while exceeding customers' expectations.

Critical Expectations
  1. Complete Care and Control of the Construction Site
  2. Daily Reporting to Project Manager
  3. Onsite Construction Professional
  4. Onsite Resource Coordination
  5. Expedite the Construction Schedule
  6. Quality Control
  7. Site Safety Assurance and WorkSafe Compliance
  8. Client Relations
  9. Community Relations
  10. Project Progress Photography
Requirements
  1. Minimum 4 years onsite construction experience
  2. Minimum 3+ years of continuous superintendent or supervisory role experience (in construction field)
  3. Strong working knowledge of current construction methods, drawings, specifications, and building codes
  4. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of employment and other designated information
  5. Self-motivated, creative thinking, organized, and efficient
  6. Excellent oral and written communication skills
  7. Ability to effectively manage time, responsibilities, and priorities
  8. Demonstrated interpersonal, leadership, and team-building skills
  9. Level 1 (minimum) First Aid certification and knowledge of (WHMIS) Systems
  10. Budgeting and estimating skills (computer word processing and spreadsheet programs an asset)
  11. Proficient with computers, multifunctional processing units, telephones, and faxes
  12. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and skills in data entry
  13. Valid driver's license
