CanadaVets Associate Relief Veterinarian

  • As a CanadaVets team member, you’ll be an employee with benefits, whether you work full-time (starting at 30 hours per week) or part-time (starting at 20 hours per week).
  • Full-time vets earn a six-figure base salary , with opportunities to pick up additional shifts for extra pay.

  • You’ll also have the support of a dedicated Director of Clinical Excellence and Area Clinic Lead to advocate on your behalf, provide guidance after tough days, and celebrate your successes. Our Veterinary Social Worker is there to help when the demands of the job feel overwhelming.

What You Need to Join CanadaVets

  • A minimum of two years of high-quality, post-grad hospital experience (small animal general practice, emergency medicine, or a rigorous internship).
  • Confidence to work independently while supported by a like-minded community.
  • An active veterinary license (or ability to obtain one) in your area.
  • Strong clinical and client communication skills.
  • Availability for at least 20 hours per week.
